I have the stock 19's on my GTI Performance and wheel hop was an issue under heavy acceleration from a stand still or slow-ish roll. I now have a dog-bone insert and the wheel hop is almost a non-issue, and that's with a JB1 adding more power.

Highly recommended upgrade.

Ah awesome, will definitely look at installing one.

Anyone know what a shop might charge to install it for you? Don't want to risk it without a torque wrench.

Go to Volksmuller in Annangrove ! 155 installed including the 034 Motorsport dog mount. 5 mins.

I got mine from US while I was travelling, a whole lot cheaper than anyone in Australia. For installation, I had my mechanic do it up for me while putting on my flow design lip, didn't charge me a thing coz it was too simple of a job lol.

After 18 months of WRX ownership, I've decided to get back into a GTI. It'll just be a regular one this time (my last was a PP).

Looking forward to quality plastics and materials, and a smooth ride!

I ordered a new GTI 3 weeks ago. It should be arriving sometime this week. I never had PP as an option. I was pretty disappointed when I was told, but I'm out of a car and need one so I really can't wait.

There is no longer a PP for the MY17. I believe the LSD is now standard. Other changes are a more low profile rear view mirror and something else I can't recall.

Will my car be a MY17? Or is there a chance it's MY16? Sorry if that's a stupid question. Also where did you get the info about the LSD? I haven't heard about that yet.

Edit: I think the other change is they removed the lock from the glove box.

I don't remember seeing LSD becoming standard on the GTI as they want to keep it exclusive to the ED40. But I could be wrong. But I know they got rid of the PP to make space for ED40

It's a shame they got rid of the PP because of the ED40, I would of added the package. I'm not real keen on the 40 but I appreciate that it's an awesome car.

The ED40 is one heck of a car. If only my other half isn't so reasonable I would have traded in my PP.
