I almost spat my coffee, $48,200 for a GTI with DA and Bi-xenons!!!

Over here (NZ) the base DSG GTI is $60,990
Bi-Xenons (when they were an option outside of PP) $3000
No DA package here so ACC additional $1000

Total $64,990 NZ which is $59,284 AUS!

An $11,000 fleecing.

Yeah it really baffles me that they can sell a GTI there for $60K and an Octavia RS for $47K?

Just seen a dyno graph of before and after APR stage one. 220hp@wheels stock and 288.6hp@wheels stage one!

They were telling me it was just spinning up on the rollers! Impressive gain from just a tune.

I booked my car in for a tune on the 3rd of September as I'm away from home right now. All I can say is that I can't wait to get my car done, all these posts about how good it is.. is making my mouth water every time I read it.

Tried to order the carbon intake today and I received bad news, first batch were gone before they even arrived, same story with the second batch. Damn it.... Long wait for that one.

Still smiling. On a serious note the car is far more responsive and smoother thru the gears.Accelleration is unbelievable , oil temp seems a bit lower as well. Overall it has transformed a really good ride into a great one well done APR

I'm wondering if VW are likely to make Xenons an option on the base GTI? I'd buy a PP with them standard, but that is DSG only. I want a manual only - will not consider a DSG (no offence to DSG owners).

Has anyone heard any news on changes to options?

That will almost certainly not happen. You could spec bi xenons with manual GTI on a MY14 order (that's what I have) and they then removed the option for MY15. It'd be odd if they then turned around and offered it again after removing it
