Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

So my email address was incorrect hence the lack of contract.
All sorted now.
Went with the team at Launceston VW. Would highly recommend.
Made the purchase super easy, done in less time than it would take to drive to my nearest dealer, where they keep telling me they won’t budge on $66K for a car that has been driven and had grass clippings in the boot.
$62K drive away.

And I certainly wont be handing the keys to anyone soon, with only wifey having driven us to and fro' a dinner date last week. I've just now started damp microfiber wipe downs to remove the dust that gathers in the garage.

It does feel a little sacrilegious to buy one of these things and then park it all the time (although I'll be rectifying this soon). Almost like sticking cheap Chinese tyres on the thing.

As for me, well that second fill happened last night.

Different strokes for different folks. I bought mine to use for mostly round town running, so lots of short trips and frequent minor bursts of fun (roundabouts, quick takeoffs from traffic lights & intersections/increases in speed limits) once the oil is up to temp. Most of my longer trips are in my van going to dog agility trials.
I won't comment adversely on how anyone wants to use theirs, they spent their money on it so it's up to them how they use it (or not).2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).

FYI I have done 1 x Caltex 1 x Shell and 4 x BP plus the unknown 98 from delivery.
Whether that still holds true today I am not sure but have had no issues so I will stick with it for now (although it hurts when in Adelaide given the ownership there).
