So the VW dealer just called and said that our new Golf R has been written off in a hail storm at the docks in Brisbane! We've already been waiting 4 months whilst it came over on the ship, so pretty gutted!

If we want the same Indium grey with manual transmission then it's a new factory order and delivery date not until April 2018.

So looks like we'll either be switching to an auto, or sticking with manual but changing the colour to either white or blue that are both available straight away.

I echo eyes, go the blue. Awesome colour!
I didn't even know the golf came in Indium Grey... I thought the only colours for the R were white, blue and black...?

EDIT - Just saw the colour options from the website. When I ordered there where only 3 colours available. Anyways, still would have gone with Lapiz Blue!

I was thinking of doing the booking earlier but then wasn't sure when I will get the GTI back then.....and by the time I book, already Dec schedule! Hahaha
Which paint protection are you planning to get? Opti-coat pro?

Went to dealership today and decided on the Pure White with a sunroof. Pickup tomorrow

Just lucky....my uncle is coming to Melb from overseas in the week i was supposed to have it done in Dec, so i asked to be notified if any chance someone cancels or want to delay etc... and someone wanted to delay the date thus I get to swap it.
So at least I will have my car when uncle is here!!

Got it back on Sat... but thunderstorms hits and
Home internet gone....

Luckily sunny when I picked up my GTI! And when it rained that afternoon my car was parked indoor kakaka
