Night Blue is a rare colour, not too many around, but I like it. You see a few regular Golfs in that colour - Alltracks and MY14 hatches (it was discontinued after that.) Plus GTIs and Performances up to MY17. It is not available in the 7.5 Golfs though.

My MY14 Tiguan is Night Blue and I really like it.

Hey guys,

Just had a look at the Highline Golf fully optioned with all packages. VW Online says roughly 43k after build, do you guys reckon from experience I would be able to neg down to $40k?

I was told it is available in Atlantic Blue, but if I want Pearl Black I would have to wait till the end of the year as it is not in stock.

This is my first new car buy ever, so I am not that experienced...

You should be able to but bear in mind that the current Volksfest sale has already knocked a couple of grand of the regular driveaway pricing. My Alltrack had a driveaway price of $49630 on the website but the invoice showed the full price as closer to $53k which is similar to the list price another dealer showed me. I did get it a fair bit lower than the driveaway price

I would say if the car is currently in stock then it would be easier to get the price down as they would want to clear the stock.
If it is a factory order, then it will be a bit harder.

if you build that golf on volkswagen.com.au with sydney postcode, it amounts to $43130. If you add the options on top of rrp then its
35990 +500 + 2300+2500+1500 its 42790. There have been my17 s in this spec abeit different colours for under 40000.
2000 off for a brand new my18 is about the max they will do unless you haggle hard at the end of month. So ideally 40790 is the price to at least work them down to

New golf day for me! My Mk7 Comfortline just rolled off the back of the truck (the upside of buying a car from a dealer 6 hours away is getting the whole deal done from my home office and simply watching out the window for the truck a week or two later). My OBDeleven arrived yesterday so all thats needed now is to head over to the parents place later & pinch an android tablet.

Only downside so far is the dealer forgot to fit the floor mats, hatch mat and the bloody SD card for the nav so will have to wait a week or so for them to rock up.

Just had an update from the dealer (VW Waitara in Sydney) that our new Golf R 7.5 will be docking around mid-October and should be ready for collection by end of October. Not much longer to wait, counting the weeks! We ordered it at the end of start of end of July. It's a base spec manual transmission in Indium Grey.

Picked up my 7.5 on Tuesday. Absolutely loving the colour. It looks really dark till the sun hits it.

The new infotainment screen is really nice. Haven't had the opportunity to really test any of the other new features yet (Trendline with Driver Assistance Package).

Anyone know generally how long it takes to clear customs and get released to dealer?
I don't expect it to arrive at dealership by mid next week and then delivery probably by 1st or 2nd week of October.

When my Alltrack was being delivered the dealer said it would be about 12-15 working days from dock to delivery.

My dealer advised it would be about 2 weeks from docking until I can collect from them.
