Just ordered my White MY16 Golf R DSG with driver assistance package and sunroof. Meant to be ready for pickup late November and while I'm excited as hell, I'm happy to wait a little just to prepare. This will be my first taste of a performance vehicle, always wanted to own something with power and now I finally will. Bloody stoked! I think I got a good price on it as well, $58,000 flat drive away.

Don't know why more dealers don't give their customers the printout they have on their system showing the complete schedule of the car.
It shows when it's being built, the arrival at Bremerhaven where the cars leave from Germany and the approx dates for arrival into Australia and delivery to the customer.
With the VIN and this info I was able to track the boat before in even arrived into Germany to pick up my car! and now it's at Port Elizabeth in South Africa.
I don't have to bug the dealer about what's happening with my car and it's less stress for them and you.
Not sure why VW don't make a Web portal so this can happen automatically - customer just puts in a sales order number and it shows you on a map what's happening.

Picked up my MY16 110 tsi with DAP and the R line pack yesterday. Beautiful car, lovely and smooth and the progressive steering makes for such a fun drive !

Bayford Volkswagen in Epping, I think the white will look great. Look great with black wheels ...

I went for blue, but I could not decide between blue and white, My last two GTI's had been white so needed a change.

You got a metallic paint so pretty much the same. I tried getting mine from Epping but they wouldn't come close to 58, pretty disappointed because I really wanted to buy from the salesman who I was dealing with who was really good to me. So it's interesting to see they could go that low but chose not to. All worked out in the end. I think I'm leaving the wheels as they are, for now. Spent enough money for the moment 😁

Actually yeah I did read that as well somewhere here.
Ferntree Gully :S They were the cheapest. I don't live far from Epping so I was hoping I could get it from there. I'll probably service it at Camberwell though cause a mate is service manager there. Are you tinting your front windows? And if so, are you going to put clear on the back as they're already smoky? Not sure whether to bother or not.

I'm looking at picking up the same model. Can you tell me if it comes with the leather seats (same as the normal MY16 Highline)?

Would be keen on some pics too =)

It comes standard with the same leather seats as the Golf R. I'll try and post some photos on the weekend.

Thanks. Very keen on the leather interior - I think the previous model missed out on them with the R line package.
What colour did you get?

Yeah, the MY15 models didn't come with the leather. I went with white however I think the R-line looks good no matter what color you choose.
