Same spec as yours mate - hopefully I should be looking out of it's windscreen sometime in early October if all goes according to plan... When did you place your order? I'm just curious as to the availability of the cars which form part of the first couple of shipments...

Oh, thanks for that info...... I wonder if all the cars destined for Australia have now been allocated / bought? I think I read somewhere that there were only about 200 or so in the initial shipment/s.

I tend to agree with this and that stock of all MY16 cars appeared super limited, I'm not expecting any luck with the dealer turning up an earlier allocation. Not unless someone cancels, and, they do not sell to someone else who will pay more to secure it earlier...

I ordered a fully optioned GTI too, it's on the ship called Tombarra apparently which is meant to dock in Sydney on the 31st of August for a Mid september delivery in Brisbane.

I don't know how I'll manage to sleep until then!

Picked up my MY16 110TSI Highline yesterday. Dealer said they were trying to keep it quiet as there is a lot of MY15 stock to clear. Lots of great new things in MY16, they are worried it will cause them stock issues.

I had the same story from my dealer. They said that they would not accept any MY16 cars until some movement of the MY15 happened. Not displaying or giving out too much information, however if you walk in and ask then they will assist.
