Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Have had my 2015 GTI performance with DA pack for a week now what a great bit of gear!! Had a new stndard GTI for about a month before this one ,the latest is quieter and handles so much better.Did the deal with Mike from Norris Volkswagen at Kedron near Brisbane ,all done over the phone and via email, couldn't be happier with the service and friendliness from everyone there. Before I bought I sent out about a dozen emails to different dealers ,the responses were amazing ,from "i'm still waiting for some of them to return my email to the exceptional service recieved at Norris ! If you're going to buy , make sure you tip in the extra for the Performance model,( bi-xenons are standard ) with drivers assistance pkg.the adaptive cruise/braking is amazing .the performance and handling are unbelieveable.

I'm getting PW DSG with hole in roof and driver assist. I passed on the cow/vinyl as I liked the fronts but didn't like the rear. Thinking I'll lose the Lapiz and go either BBS SR gunmetal or WWR wheels, tint and with Martin's recent news, Discovery Pro will be high on the list. Hopefully there will be new Polo owners who will buy Discovery Nav to upgrade theirs.
Mechanical? No upgrades for a while while the jury remains out on turbos. Perhaps stage one/milltek resonated some day.Last edited by 2muchcoffeeman; 28-11-2014, 06:42 AM.CR Audi RS3

Once again I'll disagree with someone saying the PP is a must. Obviously these days it is if you need bi-xenons, and there are some 1% benefits on the diff if you're tracking or doing something nuts on a public road otherwise for a lot of GTI buyers saving the cash is a sure fire winner.
Horses for courses, I totally understand why some people are choosing the PP on here, but clever marketing by VW has a fair chunk forking out the extra when most punters will notice no difference.
Regardless congrats on the purchase, get a decent set of wheels and you'll be laughing.

I've moved recently and genuinely using sat nav for the first time for other than novelty value and apart from the screen issues the inability to pronounce even basic street names is stunning.
I've got basic Tom Tom in our other car and the difference is huge.

On a more positive note. Don't know why I was so worried about the 19" wheels now.
Ride and noise not an issue at all. Surprising quiet and civilized.
Thoroughly enjoying the drive so far. Brilliant package.

Okay so i'm officially over waiting for my New R...
I am following the ship its currently on and it just docked in South Africa. I don't think i will get another update until it hits Fremantle now late December, expecting to receive mid to late Jan.
I have watched every review i can find and read countless forum posts. I have been researching mods in the mean time to keep myself busy but find i am pretty fussy and therefore my list is quite small.
I'm looking at:
P3 Gauge
Garage door opener button
Custom Euro Plates
Can anyone recommend any other little neat interior upgrades.. I will look at upgrading interior lights if required but wont really know what i need until i get the car.
All I know is, its gonna be worth the wait! Anyone else currently waiting? Anyone have any good coping techniques?MY15 Golf R | 6 speed | Limestone Grey | Leather
