I picked up my white 90 TSI manual with the 16" Toronto wheels off the Comfortline yesterday $24200 driveaway - which was over $4000 less than I paid for my white Mk6 90 TSI manual 3 years ago. Have just done over 200km already and it is quieter, smoother riding, tighter more solid feeling, noticeably faster - I guess that's what 61kg less weight does - and waaaaay better equipped. Looks better too and the doors shut with an even more solid thunk. And this one had better not blow a turbo or VW will be very hard to forgive. And the engine still isn't as "sweet" as the Forester's with a lot less character. It still amazes me how well it pulls in the upper gears on hills though but it still has that soft spot just above idle and then comes on more strongly than the Mk6 around 1500 rpm. re the sales service I guess there's a lot they still have to get familiar with. They looked so smug whipping the cover off mine to present it in the delivery room but you should have seen the confused looks when I pointed out the they hadn't put the black covers on the wheel nuts. 20 were quickly found. Also I have checked the oil for the first time this morning and it was only half way between the marks. Perhaps it wasn't filled fully when predelivery was performed so after my last experience of 1L use every 3000km I'll be keeping a close check.

But they avoided the DSG7 gearbox like I did...so perhaps we're on to something here?

Album art sizes are discussed elsewhere on this site or search thru google etc - they need to be embedded into the idtag, and small enough to be displayed. I used a pic of the car as the album art for any song that I need to find the artwork for!
The artwork for the radio stations can be uploaded to the stereo, and needs to be no more than 400 X 240 pixels - it does look good.May 20 - Nov 19 MY20 Tiguan 162 TSI

The rest were to do with poor fitting door seals I think! I'll try and find the document and upload it...
Hi Golf7, did you end up uploading this document somewhere?May 20 - Nov 19 MY20 Tiguan 162 TSI

It followed me home today, can I keep it? hehe
Picked it up this afternoon, only done 15 or so km's since delivery, so cant really comment too much other than to say im incredibly happy with it, the colour, body kit and wheel combo look really fantastic.
Really impressed with the ease of connecting bluetooth to my phone, all the features of the vehicle so far have been intuitive, specially coming from a comparatively simple Mk 5. Ill get more kays on it over the weekend, as well as some more pics.
Cheers

How much is the body kit worth? Does it include the wheels? Looks great.
Anyone get any deals this EOFY weekend? Someone told me they purchased a standard (besides paint) 103TSI for 29,990 today (down from the RRP 36k). I've also heard that due to the recent bad press it's been easier to negotiate discounts with dealer salespeople.Last edited by Ryan_R; 08-07-2013, 08:34 AM.

I have the base model 90TSI manual transmission, it's my first Golf and after coming from a bigger Suzuki Kizashi I thought I might miss the power but this little car is so much fun to drive and on the hilly roads in Tasmania it has ample power which amazes me coming from only a 1.4 lire car. I am averaging 6.2/100klms which is great. I have fitted some after market mag wheels, mud flaps and soon a dash mat, I have to get one tyre replaced as it is out of round and causing a vibration through a car. The only trouble I have with the car is the FM reception, it keeps fading in and out but hopefully VW will come out with a software fix soon. I have made up some radio logos and loaded them on the radio which adds a nice touch.

Mind sharing how you changed the logos?

I brought up the logo for each radio station by opening up their web page and then used the Snipping Tool in Windows 8 to make a copy of the logo, I saved them as PNG file and then copied them on to a SD card. Put the SD card into the slot in the glove box and close it if it tries to load, press radio button and find the radio station you want to change. Press that icon (in MHZ ) and another screen comes up so select SD card and look through the SD card list for your icon and select it , done.
Here's the one I did for Triple J for you to try, just use the Snipping Tool to copy it.
