  • If you Want to modify anything (i.e. Apply one or more tweaks) you need to buy the Pro version, as The standard version does not allow to make any modification.
In italian : se vuoi usarlo per fare modifiche devi comprare per forza la versione Pro: la versione standard non consente di fare modifiche, solo leggere valori e usare le apps

      ciao!
Halfmillion: Hi - Whilst I don't disagree with your recommendation, Here's the official information regarding the difference between the two dongle versions

      OBDeleven
      • Automatic vehicle identification from VIN (Vehicle identification number)
      • Read and clear diagnostic trouble codes from all control units that is installed in your car (i.e. Engine, Transmission, ABS, Airbag, Multimedia, Air conditioning, etc.)
      • Diagnostic trouble codes in 7 languages: English, German, Russian, Polish, French, Spanish, Italian
      • Read information about control unit (i.e. Part number, Software number, Coding, etc.)
      • Diagnostic data log sharing via email
      • Battery status
      • Connected cars history
      • Gauges
      • Engine, Equipment and Fault code lookups
      • DIY manuals

      OBDeleven Pro
      • All of the above
      • Home screen PRO theme (more info in main screen: engine code, battery voltage, faulty control units list)
      • Programming (coding, long coding, adaptation)
      • Basic settings
      • Output tests
      • Live data
      • Car programming history
      • One touch Apps for quick module programming

So it really depends on the intended use - but the real decision variable between the two versions is the cost differential for those in the EU (I assume that there is still an EU and that Italy is still a member of the organisation )
      OBDeleven = 35.99 Euro
      OBDeleven Pro = 54.99 Euro

      Don

Hi Don! Thanks for all valuable feedback, information, tweaks, DYI and knowledge you are constantly providing!

I fully confirm detailed differences as reported by you (I do own an OBD11), and also pricing (it takes 2-4 weeks for delivery). In a nutshell, I just wanted to let fabbromix know that PRO version is needed for any tweak (including VIM i.e. Video in motion, Which was the main reason for me to buy obd11 for my Skoda Octavia Scout 4x4 184cv dsg with Columbus!)

Well i tried changing the 3 adaptations and nothing changed, or so i think...
uploaded a video with the behaviour, i dont know if kessy can affect in any way. other thing annoying me is the license plate lamp, also stays lighted when turn off the engine !!

Can be this related with the "single side parking lights" or similar?
another adaptation finded now im my couch that can fit my problem is some related "after-run"wow sounds great..
          After-run for park light:

          abschalten nach der Nachlaufzeit
          Standlicht-Nachlaufzeit:
          30.0 min

other backups found shows "inactive" while mine "active"

Ah, the backup done with obd11 if you want to take a look.

i think must look a mk7 near me and made a backup to transfer to my car and look what happen...

car info. 2.0TDI 150 CRBC my14 extras:ACC,DLA,sunroof, keyless and rear LED retrofitted

Anyhow, I've re-designed the tweak the way that it should have been when I first responded to your request! As I said above, the trick is to give the parking light function the highest priority so that it takes precedence whenever the turn signal operates coincident with the parking light.

Again my apology - it's back to remedial Leuchte programming school for me!!

            Hi Don,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you.

I have implemented the changes as detailed and can happily confirm that everything is working as expected/wanted.

            • HELP Messed up VCDS Coding Fuel Consumption Way Off

I was fiddling around with my friend's MK VII Golf and I messed up the instrumentation coding. Now the fuel consumption gauge is behaving strangely. It keeps getting higher when coasting in neutral instead of dropping, and gets lower when pushing the accelerator! It's like reversed. But I didn't do anything related to fuel consumption in long coding and adaptation. I reversed some coding I've done but it didn't help. And I have lost the autoscan file Can you help me please? What should I look for?

Juzam: Hello and welcome to the forum.

Wow, I have never heard of those symptoms - I would like to know how you did that (it's an interesting effect)!

Whilst you may have lost your autoscan file (how did you do that?), I'm hoping that you still have your CodingLog.CSV and ApdLog.CSV files. Just look in the Ross-Tech/Debug directory on the laptop that you used to make the changes. As the names imply each of the files will contain a record of the code-string and adaptation channel changes. The records contain both the before and after values - just revert to the original settings

                Don

I found the way to make the dot LED DRL to work along with U LED DRL in all light switch positions finally. extra affect Instrument cluster illuminated all the time with stock phototransistor X1..X5 values.
                  1. Select 09 - Central Electr control module
                  2. Select Security Access - 16 from the "Open Controller" screen
                  3. Enter the magic number 31347 and return to the "Open Controller" screen
                  4. Select Adaptation - 10 from the "Open Controller" screen
                  5. From the pull-down button Select (6)-Daytime running lights-Tagfahrlicht-Dauerfahrlicht aktiviert zusaetzlich Standlicht, is not active by default, make this active. (Google translation result is Daytime running light daytime running lights additionally activated parking light)

                  More observation:

                  • Instrument Cluster Illumination, I have not yet checked whether the intensity of illumination changes based on the light with this Mod. (ICI coming on is no magic here, I believe it will be illuminated if light switch is moved to parking lights day or night. since the parking lights are forced to run along with DRL's cluster stays on). Don's work on this as per Post#446 is exquisite. This mod keeps the Dot LED on in all light switch positions.
                  • I checked deactivate start stop function value and it showed mode not active. But I am 100% sure I saved the value “stop prohibition, no start request”. So when I saved and tested it without restarting the car it worked. But when I switch off the car overnight and started in the morning it has gone back to mode not started, maybe or maybe I did not save it properly (no way), that is why start stop started working again. At least this is my belief so I have reverted back minimum voltage stock value for start stop and set the deactivate start stop back to “stop prohibition, no start request” for further observation.

                  Concern:

I am not sure if this Dot LED is capable of running all the time. Do they have enough cooling heat sinks? Could someone kindly advise on this matter, please.
I tried this on my 2016 Golf Alltrack and it worked ok but the downside is the tail lights are also on at all times with the Dot LED. Has anyone else found this?

Piotr W: I don't believe that it is possible - in fact, I'd fairly certain that even POLAR FIS won't do it on a mk7 (it only fits a mk5 and mk6)

Incidentally, you only just beat my speed!!

                      • Hallo Don. That is the screen shot of YouTube film. Here is link to original film:

Officially I don't drive so fast ( in my country You can drive maximum 140km/h on freeway)
I even don't know how fast my car can go. I ride a second hand GTI poorly equiped - that why I'm looking for upgrades over here.
I bought OBD11 PRO. I made many changes allready. Few days ago I saw MK7 with two "U" leds on in each front light. I thought I can turn that option in my car too but looks like it's not possible. Is it really possible only in R lights?
Don Istill have problem with my radio. Text info for radio stations doesn't work. Radio goes off when I turn key to 0 position in ignition. Can You give me some tips what adaptations shoud I change to change those problems? How to check my radio type? I mean is it MIB1 oraz MIB2? Whats the difference? I have only 3 languages in my radio - is it possible to upgrade it? Most of VW in Europe have many many more languages in radio.
                        Best regards Piotr
