Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

It'll be detuned for Australia's "hot weather" climate. The S3 gets 213kw, so it'll probably be around or just under that.

Ryan: that's not an instrument panel display - this is an instrument panel display!!

Please don't PM to ask questions about coding, or vehicle repairs. The better place to deal with these matters is in the forum proper. That way you get the benefit of the wider expertise of other forum members! Thank you.

Greetings all, I'm going to be getting the above springs. For those based in Melbourne, does anyone have any recommendations of where to go for installation?

It's not a complicated job, and Emmanuele Design has a YouTube instruction video too. Any reputable suspension shop should have no trouble with fitting. I had my local VW/Audi workshop install them in my S3.

I think I'll take it to Volkspower when I get them, appreciate the response!

                        • Oil level MK7 R? Hi just got car back home from service, checked the oil on level surface after 1 hour [warm] reading is 4-5mm over the top hashed mark of the dip stick, should I drain or is it OK. Thanks guys G.T.

                          • If it's over the top of the full level I'd drain it but depending on how much oil your car uses it might be down to full in 500km

                            • Hi, this may have been covered before, but has anyone fitted 245/35/19 instead of 235/35/19 to there R?

Are there any problems going with the 245's?

                              Cheers

I am wondering the same. My Golfs hit 30000km and tyres are looking worse for wear.
