10.5l/100 over a whole 780kms. It is only 2 weeks old.

My long term ave is 8.9l/100km pretty much all city/urban driving. That's over 8000km. If cruising around not in much traffic get around 7.5l and lowest was 6.1 on freeway trip.

I have just installed the VW Plug & Play Sound System that is a dealer fit VW option in Europe (part No 5G0051419).

I will do a full write up soon, but suffice to say it is very good. I was more surprised by the increase in the sound quality at the top end than the added sub base. It is probably not as good as a full system upgrade (all speakers replaced, external amps, 12" sub taking up half the boot) but you are looking at serious coin the better it (i think you would need to spend upward of $5000) and you have butcherd your car with no way to return it to stock.

You can import it yourself for about $800/900 and Martin at Euro Car Upgrades in Maroochydore can fit it for about $500. So for less than $1500 you have a great sounding system.

It is the best upgrade to the sound for the least money unless you are happy to butcher your car.
