Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

          • Sounds hollow and farty. I prefer the stock sound - esp inside the cabin - much meatier.
2018 Golf GTI, Manual - gone.
2017 Golf 110tsi Trendline, manual (gone - gladly)

              • An exhaust that houses the butterfly valves as per the stock exhaust (ie. Milltek) works with the OEM Eco/Normal/Race modes to change the sound of the exhaust.

That thing is just another remote to lose and another thing to break.

Keen to hear what the iPE one sounds like when it is ready.

Also sekas, the Discover Pro comes in at approx ~$1400AUD after conversion. I dont imagine shipping would be much but the local installation+ will cost a bit I am guessing.

                • Cheers for that.
The FiE/iPE is what im waiting for. Im currently in negotiations with them dependant on the finished product. They both are in development at the moment.
I may be going that way as apparently the milltek is as heavy as the standard exhaust

                    Yes found 60% best setting

If you can hold off, I hear that Akrapovic is currently developing titanium Exhaust for the R. Maybe another GB

Since we only get 3 options plus colour choices I think they just pump out common configurations.

My MY15 in white with DAP plus Leather was only meant to be 2 weeks from deposit to delivery but got delayed a week. From memory anyway, it may have been 3 weeks then went to 4 weeks.

I hope it gets here on time. Really don't want to have to pay the renewal rego in the car I'm trading in lol. Already got an exhaust and tune lined up so should be exciting days ahead.
