Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Probably more about just ensuring your forum identity can't be matched to your real identity, which hiding the number plates go a long way towards achieving, esp if VAG are reading the forums to check about people demanding warranty repairs for dubious reasons..

Hey Andrew7, let us know what they say.

Appreciate my sound could be soundakator, but mine sounds more like a loose wire to me (untrained ear).

When are you going in for fixing?

        • Bryan Byrt VW fall into receivership

Anyone else bought from Mt Gravatt or the other dealerships?

Are they still going to honour the sale? Office hours are over and I dont think anyone's there to pick up the phones anyway...

          Waiting months and now this...

          • Unless it is done outside the normal receivership procedures, customers' deposits are unsecured creditors. Vw australia seems to have cancelled the franchise relationship and would cancel any orders they received fr bryan byrt (vw aust would not have received any money for the orders).

Last year my friend bought robins kitchen gift card, then it went into receivership. After a new owner took over, nome.of the existing gift cards were valid.

That's sounds like the plastic trim near the sound aktuator Andrew. I had the volume modified via vcds and the problems gone.

                        • ^ Thanks Kimba, I haven't adjusted the volume yet but have a mate nearby with a VCDS cable so that will be a good thing to action next week (along with a few other VCDS tweaks I have been wanting to do) BTW, what volume did you adjust down to (60% seems to be a common target)?

Ta Andrew7. With yours , is it at 1500-2000rpm like mine or generally?
