    Yep I figured that but how the heck does the cover come off?

    Last thing I want to do is break it...

      Open key and stick 10 cent coin (or something similar) in slot where key sits and twist. Cover should pop up.

      You will need a small torx driver to undo this screw.

      Have fun

        You should totally post this under the guides section... [emoji1]

        Immensely helpful, thanks.

        • Is it normal for the R to emit a high-pitched noise when you use the keyless entry?

          For example, the key is in my pocket, place my hand on the door handle and the car unlocks and emits this high-pitched buzz almost. Is it just supposed to be audibly letting you know the car is unlocked?

            Pretty sure its your exterior lighting turning on (headlights/tailights or just angel eyes)

                I think you are hearing the whine from the xenon lights that turn on when you unlock the car. Mine does it and so did my Mk6 (but it was much quieter).

                  • Speaks highly of the Golf R that's it's nearest competitors here are at $20K more. I wonder how AMG will go once fairly compared to RS3 and Golf r400 etc

                    • Thanks for the input regarding the key and noise.

                      Is there any attenuation option regarding the navigation? The only option I can find is the volume level for each media type and to turn up the volume on navigation?

                          Was just trying to find out the center cap size for the Cadiz wheels and found this;

                            Don't know if they are on here, topic was covered a while back when it happened.
                            General consensus was that high speed was involved and that they likely smashed a large rock or a pothole/trench to cause that much damage.
                            The wheel is highly unlikely to fracture that badly from general use.
