I have this on my GTI. It's definitely different to Jase's. It feels like something rattling around in the dash or behind the instrument cluster. It's a slower rattle than the other ones described here and I only get it when coasting over anything other than the smoothest of bitumen. Let me know what you discover

I've got my car booked in on Wednesday so fingers crossed its a quick and easy fix.

I can now make the noise come and go and it sounds like its coming from underneath the drivers side seat.... I check it in neutral and give it some rev and sure enough the vibration noise is there... no idea whats under there though...

Hi guys , I'm new here and decided get the amazing golf R with fully loaded option . I'm in Melbourne , had a read around it seems that the best driveway price some fellow members been getting is aprox 57k ? I work in a gov corporation , and eligible for vw corp(10%) I believe ? Is it far fetch if I ask for 56k with corp discount driveway for fully option golf R ? Sorry if this has been asked many times and thanks in advance for any response .

^ yep, I think your dreaming unfortunately as best prices on most fully optioned R's even with corporate discount (only 5% on the R btw) plus bit more on top come in around $60-61k (hard to do much better unless you find a demo or are a super negotiator or have a good dealer relationship/past history etc). You will find a fully optioned R inc ORC would be about $67k as I recall. In any case good luck, it's a great car

Yep take into account ORC vary around the country but $57k base up to $61k fully optioned are the best prices I have read.

I however paid more than $61k for leather plus DAP but not much more.

67 all options added is what they say here in Brisbane, 61 is good price and this is for DSG, if your deal is 56 is a great deal I would take it right away and start enjoying it ASAP...

Hi guys , thanks heaps for the reply so far , I'm eligible for Vw cooperate government , hence without negotiation I'm getting about 62k drive away(about 10% off rrp)

I'm wishing I can get the price down further from 62k with more negotiations with the dealer ... Will try 56k if possible :p

$60500 is what I signed for for a fully loaded R with DSG, no corp discount. .....I was wrapped with that. A day or two later id wished id pushed for 60k on the dot which I think may have been doable. But in the end im happy!!!
