Where abouts in seaforth you live? I'm yet to see your GTI, although there are plenty to see including 3 or 4 in my street and 3 or 4 R32's as well!! Its good to see people have taste

I know of a brand new black R brought home to Balgowlah on Saturday. Just off Sydney Rd.

Sounds good theres a new RB R that goes past me everyday while I'm at the bus stop on my way to school thats in seaforth as well, and its a manual i also see a UG one with black talladegas and a white one really often as well, the northern beaches is a gold mine for GTI's/R's

haha my cousin went there for a bit i think and i love seeing/going in GTI's (haven't been in an R yet) as my mates dad has one, especially love the "fart" as i call it on the up shift. can't wait till my sister and her husband buy their R

Edition 35's

Hey fella's,

Can anyone tell me if they know of a dealership with an Edition 35 up for grabs???? I have had the unfortunate luck to be involved in a 4 car pile up on Thursday in my GTI Adidas and it looks like they are going to write it off. Seeing as there are no more Adidas' left for sale, the 35 is the next special edition and my new for old insurance should cover it. Not going to be impressed if I have to get a standard GTI and wait for it to be optioned out like the adidas And, although it would be nice, I doubt that they would cough up for the R......

Spooler, it's a case of you just ringing around to see if any have landed yet. My preferred Canberra VW Dealer mention, $1000 up front to secure the sale and wait for them to arrive.

Have a look a few posts back on thus thread. Someone was very well informed on options that come with Red/White vs Black/Grey. In Sydney IIRC.

Sorry to hear about the ADIDAS getting cleaned up....glad you walked away!

Yup that is pretty much what I'll be doing on Monday morning :-P Was just throwing it out there in case someone knew a dealer that had a few left. I know they aren't due to hit the showroom until September but I hadn't really heard a lot about them until I searched and now they are pretty much sold???? Lol!

Mate you got that right. Sitting in the car seconds after it happened is a feeling you don't want to experience.

Car was insured through VW insurance which is underwritten by Allianz here in WA. The guys at my local VW store said that if it was written of next week and there were no adidas available, VW insurance were pretty good at coming to an agreement. I figure that, since the adidas was a limited release/special edition and so is the 35 (and the same price) there shouldn't be a problem. The dealer principle agreed....... but added a 'good luck' in finding one None in WA thats for sure so thats why I posted here to see if anyone had any leads anywhere in the country so I could call up first thing tomorrow.
Thank for the concern but I'm all good, no injuries, but have had a headache ever since

10 day old Golf R about 900k's Would give anything to have the experience removed...
Hopefully the headache will be short, mines only just going and it's 1 week of 3 months. Hope Allianz are better with their vehicle replacement policy than my insurance company were.

Anybody heard anything regarding the status of the 35? Rang Barloworld on Friday and was told they aren't in the country yet, interested to hear if anyone else has had a different update. Be nice to know which ship(s) they're on, the wait is killing me. Good thing I wasn't in the market for a Polo GTI, I can barely manage a month.

Spooler, if distance is no object, could try Denlo Parramatta over here in NSW. They still had their entire allocation free when I was looking around...possibly because their answer to "what can you do for me" is "we won't budge, not a cent".

Ha ha ha!!! Yeah I found heaps (and Denlo was one of them) that had the 35's. Luckily I found an Adidas though so should make the new for old replacement go a bit smoother :-P Thanks for the advice though! Now it's fingers crossed they go down the replacement not repair path
