Angry summed it up though, for the most part if you drive like a ****head you'll get noticed. I've been pulled over once in the R and it's only because 2 young ladies noticed me doing something stupid. They couldn't do anything other than have a chat and do RBT but I'm sure they could have given me a hard time if they wanted to.

Always the driver or the driving, rarely the car. That being said I drove past a traffic stop in Bankstown last weekend where the offending driver was in a brand new Lambo. We dont see many of them around these parts (I still live in the area) so it was probably an invite for a stop...

My wife commented at the weekend when she was a passneger that the R attracts a lot of looks from other road users / pedestrians - something I'm not usually aware of when driving!!
I don't acknowledge GTi owners, not through snobbery, but through the sheer number on the road ... But I do other R's if/when I see them on the road.
No problems with plod or other road users tbh. but it's probably cus I'm a mild mannered janitor & never speed - honest!!2015 MY15 Polo GTI 6C - Blue - DSG. SOLD

I'm waiting for an aftermarket DRLs for the R which are extra bright. I don't think the stockies are bright enough....and they are yellowish!!!| Golf R MY11 | DSG | 3 Doors | RB | Recaro | 19" Talladegas | ACC | Sunroof | BT | APR S1 | APR Carbonio | MillteK Sport CBE |

They do seem short though when compared to the Merc E Class ones etc.
