Isn't that the Audi A3 2.0T with Quattro?Originally posted by jrgti View PostI couldn't afford the R but glad I didn't get it as I wanted a new car with a new engine. I do fancy the awd and wish they'd just give the GTI more power, proper lsd and awd.MY11.5 Golf R - Candy White 5 door - still giggling like a child when I drive it!

Ive never seen you drive like a ****head, promise...Originally posted by dave_r View PostAngry summed it up though, for the most part if you drive like a ****head you'll get noticed. I've been pulled over once in the R and it's only because 2 young ladies noticed me doing something stupid. They couldn't do anything other than have a chat and do RBT but I'm sure they could have given me a hard time if they wanted to.
These cops probably felt sorry for you, like me

But why.. the only reason to have them is to get attentionOriginally posted by JT_MKVi View PostGot some attention today with my GTI and its LED head lamps. should turn them off, then it just looks like a regularly golf - but hey at least I know the LEDs are doing their job.
Now why is the link between those 2 sentences concerning.. can't quite put my finger on it (nor do I want toOriginally posted by Fab_R View PostLol...

My parents call silver "pensioner grey" ... Now that they are in their 70's they've rebelled and bought a red car.Originally posted by SilvrFoxX View PostSlver has that affect.. the Golf R in silver is just so pedestrian which is why I wanted the Blue
Silver can look really good with touches of black to set it off.

Don't get me wrong, Silver is one of the most popular colours our there, however because of that it tends to get lost in the flow of traffic. My current ride is Urban grey ( like the Golf United Grey) and it looks great on the Subaru but I just didn't want another silverish carCurrent Ride: MY 16 Daytona Pearl Grey Audi S3- Performance Pack 1, Sunroof and Driver assist

I got RBT'd last night (as did the car in front of me, just a random stop. Copper asked how long I'd had the car, but that was just matter-of-factly since it still has an interim rego sticker.
PS: Lovin it.Mk6 Golf R, DSG, 5dr, Rising Blue, + Leather, ACC, Dynaudio, BT, MDI + APR Stage I ECU.

yes it is pedestrian, especially combined with the Denvers, ,Blue is my preferred colour, unfortunately no GTIs in that colour, will have to save the pennies, for a R next time.Originally posted by SilvrFoxX View PostSlver has that affect.. the Golf R in silver is just so pedestrian which is why I wanted the BlueLast edited by mfl; 22-05-2011, 11:08 AM.mk VI GTI, manual, reflex silver, basic

yeah, i hardly notice silver cars. Honestly i think that the golf R is such a sleeper - most people (who dont really car much for cars) I talk to think that the GTI is the sportier version of the golf than the R - probably because of the bonnet red stripes.Originally posted by SilvrFoxX View PostSlver has that affect.. the Golf R in silver is just so pedestrian which is why I wanted the Blue
actually come to think of it, both the GTDs and Rs are sleepers - but the R would be more fun
