I've moved all the speedo talk to the speedo thread. Cheers.

When you lock the car, if you keep the lock button depressed on the keyfob any open windows including the sunroof will shut.

Also a cool feature when unlocking the car, again if you keep the button depressed all the windows (excluding the sunroof) will open.

Hey Prodigy, yes I know that but I find it sometimes doesn't hold (user error) or the signal doesn't go all the way so I'm fiddling to hold the button down again. If I can just press lock and walk away and the car is doing it all for me I'll enjoy that "convenience" more.

        Cheers,
        Steve

Haven't had VCDS plugged in for ages, just too lazy! Not sure if the latest version (beta) offered any new options.

Other than the normal method metioned by Prodigy, never heard of one. Could ask Ross-Tech if it is possible?

Yes, but really what the problem is, is that I haven't removed all the other stickies except for the "forum index".

Yes, but really what the problem is, is that the forum index sticky isn't large, bold, colourful, and surrounded by neon signs. I just searched for threads that I started to find this one again, since I always forget about that other thread. I don't think I've even looked at it once, yet.

Picked up my MY11.5 gti with Bi-Xenons yesterday and I can enable/Disable the DRL in my MFD menu... Dealer said VW got sick of people coming in to get them turned off/on so VW added it to the MFD menu...

this would require an updated mfd software, which earlier models last year wont have...
its not that hard really, just need to read the manual, dun need a dealer for that...

Does anybody know if it's possible to change the sensitivity of the rain sensor on the Golf R? I find my rain sensor is WAY to sensitive, and am thinking of getting a cable, so I can tweak this, plus other things.

Doesn't the wiper stalk have 3 settings for the rain sensitivity? There's also an 'OFF' setting.

Nothing in VAGCOM that will adjust this though. Sorry.

I believe it's even 5 levels of sensitivity.
Though, even the lowest one can be eratic with the MK6. Certainly not as good in this aspect as the MKV. I personally feel that they've used the identical parts even though they upgraded the windscreen, and therefore it's all outta wack...

Is it sensitivity or speed - I've seen both written and would lean towards the latter from personal experience. If the wiper comes on when I don't want it, I'll flick the switch down a notch or more in an attempt to 'teach' the car (doubt that's what actually happens) when I do or don't want it.

It's more sensitivity and speed. Like, when it's just a light shower (and I mean very light), if I'm sitting still - the wipers are ok. But if I'm driving - the wipers go back & forth like it's a tropical monsoon. I've turned the sensitivity switch on the stalk all the way down, but it makes only a slight difference.

Added a breif/rough instruction for retrofitting the MDI (if you don't do this you'll get a fault code: 19 - CAN Gateway - 01044 - Control Module Incorrectly Coded)

                                ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

                                3. MDI
Go to 19 - CAN Gateway - click on the Installed button, and tick the one called '2E Media something'
