Just bought one of these billet aluminium oil filter housings today. Got my first oil change due soon so ill swap this over at the same time. Volkswagen Golf V 2.0T > Maintenance > Engine > ES#2210310 ECS Tuning Billet Aluminum Oil Filter Housing Kit - 06D115408A

Nice looking piece of kit and its a brand new product for ECS Tuning. Theres a video on YouTube on how to install it if anyones interested.

Their description actually indicates for them to go on the plastic also haha. Although it does look stupid stuck there it will probably do more good than it does stuck on the sill as found on the R. I say this as I always tend to dirty/mark the top plastic with my shoes getting in/out of the car!!

Did they charge you $45 for shipping? A bit to much for me. Will have to start a ECS file and when and IF I come up with a number of items I can get them all sent together.

From what I can see they are the exact replica of the R ones with the option of having the R engraving on it or not. Have a look at some photos of the R's door sills. These are also on my wish list, maybe consider buying if there is a group buy down the track, get some discount or at least save on shipping.

Yes the shipping was $45 or so - but i ordered a few other things for me and a work mate so we split the shipping cost 50:50

color seems to match gti tho with black, red and sliver.

Premium plus comes with a boost sensor to improve the accuracy of the boost gauge

The sensor requires you to install it - an analog sensor so yes, you need to run the cable through the firewall and install the sensor.

I got the Premium Plus but wont use the sensor. Wasnt much more cash and I figured good to have, for me or the person I sell it to when I sell the car
