Great idea Foxy, off to Aldi now to grab one.

I have one that uses the cigarette lighter, I leave it plugged into the 12v in the back and thread the power cable under the rear seat and behind the drivers seat. Always vacuum my car every weekend after I come home from the beach

Good idea.. this unit is very powerful doubt the 12 volt unit would be as strong

On you Fox! Thanks for sharing the aldi vacuum bargain, I went to Aldi and grabbed one as well, those fittings will allow me to get everywhere... just need the mouth and lips attatchment

5K1RX6/11 - What does this mean?

Hey Guys,

Still a newbie, and wondering what '5K1RX6/11' means?

I'm about to sign the contract for a new GOLF R later this week, and on the contract it says: VOLKSWAGEN 5K1RX6/11

Is this still a MY12? so Bluetooth and MDI are standard?

It is the model code.

The 11 at the end it the build year

It will be MY12 if it is built from June onwards. If you are signing a contract for one on the forecourt it will be MY11 I would imagine. If you plan on waiting months for the delivery it will probably be MY12. Best to check with your dealer before you sign.

Just called up the dealer, and he told me that it is a MY12 (bluetooth and MDI are on it). He also said that the the MY12 code is not available in the system yet, and will update my contract accordingly once it becomes available.

CANT WAIT FOR MY R!!!
