Golf R Observations and Questions

Yesterday when I was at VW Day of drags in Sydney I watched a few guys dragging R32's and R's doing sub 13's over the quarter mile. I thought to myself what have a I gone and done getting an R for my wife and I. Then i thought well not as if I'm going to be driving it flat out but will be nice to have the response if I need it.

I do have a question though, is there any treatment I should do to the leather seats?

I wonder how many mods were dont to achieve that time. I wonder what a standard R would do it in?

Zbeast has done those times with just a tune and dump but not on a hot day like this

My Observation for today:

If you go for a long drive, get home, put something very heavy in the back so you aren't paying attention to where you are standing, and rest your shin against the hot exhaust pipe, it really hurts

Ok so today I've taken some notice in the fact that of my two centre air vents, the left doesn't have the same volume of air coming out of it compared the the right one. (Both open full) Is it like this for everyone or just mine?

I think I've met the most hardcore veedub fan in Singapore

First of all, some background. Cars in Singapore are taxed heavily. And the tax structure means owners are encouraged to scrap their cars after 10 years of ownership.

To give an indication, the Golf R and Scirocco R launched at A$115k. And it's now selling at 140k!

With that out of the way, I just met a guy who owns:
A Mk V R32
A Mk V Edition 30/Pirelli
A Mk VI R
A 2011 Polo GTI
A Scirocco R

I drove his R32 the other night. And he finally revealed his secret obsession. His family doesn't know!!

Have asked for a test drive for both Rs

I think my air vents are equal.

Yeah I won't being doing that in a hurry again.

Go to "Settings" at the top of the page. Then from the menu that runs down the left hand side of the page, select "Edit Avatar". You will need to resize an image to no larger than 80x80 pixels to upload it.

Given that 99% of the population in Singapore either live in units/condos or houses as big as my living room, how the hell does he find the space to park all of those cars?
