Anyone noticed a slight clunk coming from the front suspension when going into reverse

Not gearbox. Sounds like front right.

Car goes in for service next week so will let them know but wondered if anyone else had heard this

Bit early for LCA bushes ?

I hear little clunks while reversing (when I press the gas pedal, esp when going uphill), am told it's nothing to worry about.

I'll start the bidding at $25,000. Used car market is dead and yours is obviously a lemon...lol. Small amount to pay considering your problems become mine.

Looking at options for the moment, nothing finalised.

For anyone contemplating a DSG tune, this is my observation. Harding Performance did the tune last week and I have driven about 200ks since.

I wasn't interested in the increased LC RPM, but was looking for an inprovement in sport mode behaviour and less unwanted early up changes.

I can report that the tune has transformed the way the DSG behaves. Before, it felt like it was in some incredible hurry to get into 6th gear. Many, if not all, of you will know what I'm talking about. Now, sport mode can be used in normal urban driving, 5th at just under 60K/hr.

The up changes in S or D are faster and the down changes are more in keeping with what the car is doing re spped/load etc.

It is so good, I find that I am not using the paddles as much as before the tune. Well worth the money.

The Merc I spoke about is almost ready. I need to seriously look at options.

Either to offload the R or keep it as a second car. Not sure we need it if this other car arrives.

Will see what the dealer finds on Friday.

I know the LCA bushes on the GTI were rubbish. Maybe the Rs are the same.

Also have the whining DSG noise but typical 1st gear stuff. Suspect it is normal.

Gotta love VWs. Will be my last one.
