Golf R Observations and Questions

Cars are resprayed all the time and can be of excellent quality if you do your research and choose a great panel beater. But like you said it can be expensive, especially if you gut the vehicle to ensure everything is painted properly.

Just depends on how unique you want your R to be. I would go with white if you do decide to respray.

Speaking of which, if I were to go down that path I am not sure with what respray color I would go with.

Vinyl wrap?
That way you can reverse it back to factory paint if you get sick of it/want to sell.

Speaking of Manuals .. I have an unsold 3door R in Candy white with MDI cloth seats. Just arrive today on a truck if anybody is looking around for one and does not want to wait? Looks great.

18 to be exact man and DSG showing on our system nation wide coming in the next 7 weeks some of these are Prob sold.. A lot of mine are just hitting Sched as we speak.. Some very eager customers will getting call in the next week our so from me with some dates. .. Christmas Presents are hopefully going to be on time..Father Christmas Assures me..

I may have to check with my dealer and see if they are getting any of the 18 scheduled to come in that are unsold and close to my ordered spec, would so love to get hold of one sooner rather than later.

So my calculator says that the RRP Driveaway price for the car in the spec they mention should be $67,929.20 - yet they are asking over $2k more than that at $69,990 - and that's with 299km on it. There's something wrong here, or incorrect with the ad...

And yes, probably priced higher than it should be. Mine's same spec + sunroof, Dynaudio and elec drivers seat, but I paid 5 grand less.

Yeah thats like a 9 GRAND SWING!!

And its got 300 clicks! I personally would take that as a demonstrator. But maybe cause I don't buy that many expensive cars (compared to some people) Im just a bit fussy. But thats more than round the block.
