    Hahaha, poor fella. A WRX.

My god they are agricultural (especially the current model)

Hell, I'd still buy a 2nd Golf R if I knew the mech needed replacement versus a WRX.

Thats coming from an ex WRX owner as well.

One of the buyers who was dead keen who was coming up from Wollongong on the train to do a test drive called me up and told me there was nothing wrong with the car - he just didn't want to risk the car stopping on him on the freeway etc so wasn't going to buy any VW and was getting a WRX instead.

So yeah, the media campaign hasn't been that helpful that's for sure.

It will sell mate, fingers crossed

I never thought we'd sell the GTI for what we listed it for - well above market value.

As you know, only takes one buyer.

I wonder if indeed all the negative publicity about VW is impacting interest.

Although the R, especially yours, would appeal to enthusiasts who know what a great vehicle it is

    Good luck buddy

Yeah, I didn't mean for that to happen.

But, still, I guess when people get fixated on numbers and only ever consider their own position without actually knowing any of thee facts these things are bound to happen.

The $320 model came with both emblems.

    Your nearest Volkswagen dealership.

    Don't forget to take lube

I hit a plastic "cardboard" sign flying on the road which came right in front of me driving at 60KM/hr yesterday (on carlingford road, near the new construction area).

It's cracked one of the black plastic horizontal "ribs" on the front near the "R" logo, and no other damage luckily.

Where would be the best place to buy a replacement?

It doesn't seem like it when driving on the street - there is a noticeable hesitation at the 3-4 change which we think is the DSG software holding back the engine to avoid damage, but the clutches don't feel like they're slipping in the lower gears.

That said, those were launches from the end of the day, I wasn't driving so couldn't feel the shifts for myself and that's a shed-load of power running through stock clutches, so if they were starting to slip slightly it wouldn't be a surprise.
