Indeed it is! (although, I have driven the 435 and is was good fun!)

Hmmmm, not to weigh up the pros and cons of this car and decide whether or not to get myself into a bit of debt for it :-P

    Haha - isn't that a good thing?

Hmmm, I'm curious what the birdy is buying from BMW now. I love my BMW's and just sold an old one but I still have a little e21 that I'm keeping on historic rego. I went to a BMW drive day not that long ago and got a chance to drive quite a few from the new range.

I agree with jamesatfish above ..... having a VW dealership service a car in reality does nothing other than add a VW stamp to the service history. Odds are very high that an apprentice and not a qualified mechanic works on the car at that dealership anyway .....

Servicing at an independent means you get an actual qualified mechanic do the work ..... plus normally a bit more attention to detail. Personally I'd be looking for a service history at qualified independents instead of VW stealerships .... even a mobile guy (and some are specialists anyway) is better than a dealer service centre.

Oh, also, I was doing some research on an American forum and has anyone heard of R issues related to a cam sensor and water pump in the 2012 models?

From all indications, people have said these issues can be rather costly if they arise and aren't dealt with promptly.
