MDI niggles

Is it just me or does the Iphone sound crap through MDI :|

It crackles sometimes, does anyone else have this?? :| It also skip like im playing a scratched cd.. hopeless! lol

Should i bother going back to the dealer?? or is this just normal??

Have you changed the input sensitivity to LOW ?

It's found in the aux settings somewhere.

under media and then setup if I remember. Input volume I think its called. and with three setting high med and low.

Yeah im pretty sure ive set it to low as i remember reading this thread before i got the car. ill check again on the way to work and let you know..

The car didn't come with the ipod connector but i point out that we agreed to one. The guy who was going over the car with me didn't even check and went to back and gave me the cable. So im happy.

Well i have an issue now with the MDI for the iphone (more my fault). I had it connected to the phone and had the phone slotted into the small compartment next to where the cable plugs in. I sort of leant down on the armrest and heard a faint "crack". I think the hook connecter from one side of the ipod cable is broken now.
I can still connect the phone and it does charge but when i try to play music it says it can't find any audio on the phone.

Guess i need a new cable? I am going to try the usb connection in the morning just so i know the MDI is not stuffed.
Any ideas?

Mine was even cutting off the first few seconds of each song:| They reprogrammed it and its gone but it still hesitates between tracks which is really annoying.

Got a new ipod cable and all is working good now.

Yeah can't complain, not have a pause between tracks (if i do i dont notice it).
BTW where do you keep your phone when you have it hooked up to the MDI? In the small compartment next the where you hook up the cable, or in the same compartment to where you hook up the cable?

What do you class as gapless? When one song fnishes the other will start straight away, so there will be a "gap" towards the end of the song as it is fading away.
If there is a "gap" between the song then it is only basically for 1 second.
Dosen't seem gapless for me.
