Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

          Ok. So received my new R yesterday morning and all I can say is OMFG.

          My wife, who was 'Ho hum, yeah whatevs' about the car at first has changed into Ayrton Senna once she got behind the wheel. Coming home on Wakehurst Parkway I had to remind her twice that we had our two year old daughter in the car. Now, let he who is without sin cast the first stone but it was pretty amusing watching her rev and overtake a poor lady in a Jazz once it became two lanes.

          It is an amazing machine. Full stop.

            I love the response! I agree it is an awesome machine, I'm really pleased I didn't get the XR6 Turbo instead. My Mrs has already declared the R has more than enough power, she wants me to justify why I want a Stage 1 tune...

                MY2011, registered in DEC 2011.

                Black Pearl, 5dr, DSG GTI. Standard except for mdi. $41500. Drive away Monday <20km. Never Driven.

                      I cancelled the order I placed mid Sept and found one that someone else cancelled that had the options that I wanted all but sunroof. I will miss the roof as I have it in my Mk 5 GTI but saved more than the value of the roof in the new deal.

                      Best bit was, delivery early Jan instead of late April. I know,I'm impatient.

                        so u got the car now? congrats~ i am still wait for mine which can be pick up end of Jan, and i have to say i am pretty patient in this case, over 7 mths wait, LOL

                                Placed the order in mid July 2011 but then requested for a built 2012 so the due date now is circa April 2012 (hopefully!)
