Apparently my car went straight to their pre-delivery centre rather than to their holding yard as it normally would. So cut a couple of days off the wait there. So yeah, 4:30 tomorrow afternoon is when the R-adventure begins.

My dealer must have finally decided to have a look out the back .. lo and behold, there is a black vRS there, omg . Apparently "finance" have to approve a delivery date now - wtf ?!?!?!

I have just received my build date from VW Australia! Well, sort of.
I got an email today that tells me my Golf R will be built within the next 5 weeks....

Sounds a bit ominous but hopefully it's just because someone forgot to book a slot to actually get it checked. I hope it finds it's way into your garage soon. It's really something special when that K04 comes on boost.

Yeah doesn't sound too good. Either way it'll arrive when it does. Will let you guys know what happens in case anyone runs into same trouble and also how the tint from suntec turns out. Can't wait for the sweet turbo boost. Lucky duck!

I said I wouldn't follow it every step of the way too. That lasted all of 2 days I think before I started the daily ritual of checking where the ship was on MarineTraffic. Congratulations on the news. You will absolutely love it when it arrives.
