Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    New 118TSI Manual

    Hi Everyone,

    Just got my new 118TSI from the dealer! Do you guys have any suggestions on what I should do during the break in period? I didn't get it with the DSG as I was a bit concerned about the reliability and the manual is an absolute pleasure to drive. Also are there any other suggestions as to what I can do to with the car to get the best out of it? e.g. Fuel, simple mods?

            MMMm. Holdens. Almost quicker than walking. Which is what I'm doing at the moment. Sold the trusty Soarer at the start of last week.

            Just looking at your signature, I would hope that your SkodaWagen is not still on the Tortugas. Otherwise, could be a while until you see it.

                              Apparently my car went straight to their pre-delivery centre rather than to their holding yard as it normally would. So cut a couple of days off the wait there. So yeah, 4:30 tomorrow afternoon is when the R-adventure begins.
