Just put a deposit down for a white 5dr GTI with DSG and sunroof for 43,250 drive away... he originally asked for 44,713 as his best price..

made the deal during my lunch break... so didn't really have much time to screw around...

is this a good deal, or should I have haggled a bit more.

Can't comment on the price as I didn't buy the GTI. But congrats on getting them down in price anyway. I haggled a bit for my car and got him to smash more than 2.5k off the asking price, not without going through the whole "ask my manager" charade though.

I got that 2 months ago and car not being built till week 42...
You should call VWA and ask for your schedule production date and then add 3 months..That willl be when you will actually get your car.

Yep, definitely get in touch with the dealer. I got the same letter as you did with regards to the Commission number, which was sent out after VWA messed up by omitting the number from original letter. However the first letter I got did have my VIN number in it.

Your dealer will definitely know what is going on and will be able to go in to bat for you if something has gone awry. With any luck, it is just a paperwork error on VWA's part and it could be on it's way here along with mine and a few other members cars. Twould be unwise to worry too much until you get to the bottom of what is actually going on.

All the best mate. I hope they don't give you too much of a runaround.

The bluetooth integration is particularly smooth.

Driving reasonably until the running in period is over is going to be hard though...

That is awesome mate! Congratulations. I took a GTI for a test drive and was very impressed. The quicker you can put the KMs on it, the sooner it will be run in and you can give it the real beans.
