The official I have ordered/received my new MKVI thread

The dealers don't have a team of people that are able to get all the cars prepped for delivery, accessories fitted, cars washed and detailed, run through the checklist, sort out payment, pickup time, registration and so forth in 24 hours but instead they have to spread them out until the next delivery arrives. Having a heap of staff sitting around idle isn't really good practice.

I get that Mav, but its at the dealers compound for a while now. It has left Patricks and arrived at my dealer on Friday last week. It is having no accesories/tints etc fitted. And I havent gotten a phone call yet.. I actually had to go in there to get some contact.. I orignially got told that once the dealer has it it should take around 3 days.. well its been 6 days now, 4 working and no date or prospect of this weel.

Its no ones fault its just that my sales guy left and it made it a bit hard for everyone to know what is going on.. And I have been waiting for 8 months for car.. so If its ready, lets just say I oculd take it sooner than latter!

Anyways I'll keep all updated when I get it.

If it was me, the trip from the dealer to home (which is about 5km away) would probably take about 5 hours

I was actually cruising today on the South Gippy and then back up through the Tara-Bulga National Park. Scenery was great, but road condition was very poor.

LOL what he said! I saved a picasaweb link in my profile as I can just upload photos from my phone while I'm at the dealer. Otherwise I doubt I'll get around to it until Sunday. That is if the weather holds up, today was perfect for AWD!

LOL, havent had a chance to get on the computer since i got home, so far have only driven it back from the dealership which is only about 20 kms away so not much opportunity for fun as yet but i already love it. Have posted a couple of quick snaps in the picture thread.

I don't like white cars....
... but even I have to admit that I like these Golf R "Storm Troopers" (White with Black lights/wheels) much more than I do the Rising Blue with Black wheels.

White with the Silver wheels is just boring though - as are all white cars... except the Storm Troopers

My last 'proper' car (500 doesn't count) was black/white & before that black .. So I thought time for a change .... The prestige plate I have is also B&W ....

yeah the black and white is a good contrast. Can't wait to see my United Grey R looks in the flesh. Haven't seen that many photos of them yet.
