Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    Yep, it’s definitely getting close now! A few of us boys & girls cars are finally getting off in Port Kembla tomorrow night, before the ship continues up your way to QLD.

    Lately, Vesseltracker hasn’t been that great in locating the ship compared to Marinetraffic, as Corey_R mentioned.

      ya, I've got a bit of work to do on my double carport as well. 81 CJ8 Jeep sitting on the right side, so will have to rearrange boxes to fit the black in... If all goes to plan, paint protect and after market Blue Tooth install I'll see R in three weeks....

        I'm surprised there isn't discussion on the de-turning of the r for OZ market and how to rectify. Or is that discussion taking place elsewhere?

              Well my parents just signed up for a new VW Golf 90TSI Trendline today in Reflex Silver Metallic, so soon there will be 2 new MKVI Golfs in the family.

                          Was chatting to my dealer about my GTI and asked what the current wait for an R was up to and he said 9 months!

                                yeah I can count myself bloody lucky my dealer was able to switch an existing order for me for my R which apparently they don't do anymore, so I have been able to slash the wait time considerably! Stoked!
