The official I have ordered/received my new MKVI thread
Received my R yesterday.... one word - unfknbelievable!!!!

Ah rub it in I stopped off at the dealership on the way home from dinner and there's 2x golf Rs sitting inside RB/silver 5dr with another one down the side in the service department (RB 5dr) no 3dr RB to be seen though ;(
I keep going into the garage, turning off the lights, and pressing "unlock" on the remote..... the beast light up, including the headlights - awesome sight.... rub, rub, rub, rub

Which dealer was this at? i saw a RB with silver 19"s and Euro Plates at VW Osborne Park sitting in the showroom yesterday. looked great.

Yep.... thats was mine .... I tried to change my spec to have a sunroof but left it too late - your beast is gonna be unreal!
Yeah when I test drove a GTI with sunroof I was sold on it instantly. Just creates this extra ambience. I can only imagine how good it will be on a summers day with it open cruising along the Great Ocean Road

Im new here. I ordered an R yesterday through a dealer in NSW.
The dealer told me its a 5mnth wait (March-April) for arrival. Does that sound right? Is their stock planned to come in around that time?
I forgot to ask what MY it would be... would it be 11?

Which dealer? I ordered mine 2 weeks ago they advised Apr-May.
So expect April.
My one says MY11 on the contract but will soon see.

Yeah - 5 months is optimistic at this stage.
Anything constructed from now will be MY11.5 - but there are no real feature changes in MY11.5 which apply to Golf R (see the MY11.5 thread for more info).
