Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

    I am expecting the 15 business days (3 weeks) as that seems to be the standard.
    Hopefully it is a worst case scenario as well like the delivery date.

        All ships coming into the port of Brisbane have to anchor off the coast near Caloundra and wait for the pilot vessel to come out and drop the pilot off. The pilot station is based at Mooloolaba. Not long now then mate.

            Mine landed Thursday arvo on the Talisman. It sure has been along wait!

              Can you let us know how long it takes from landing to pick-up?
              So far all i have heard is hear-say and guestimations.

              It's hardest waiting now as you know it's so close to being able to enjoy the car you bought.

                  So my car arrived at the dealer today and as per Murphys law, the detailers are booked up for the next week (there were 17 new cars today) and so I have to wait even more for my precious. Saying that.... I am super happy that it only took a week in customs. Bring on the GTI!!!

                        Havve you guys seen many MKVI GTI's on the road? Her in Melbourne i have only seen like 2 over the last month.
                        Makes me feel good driving mine around

                        The 2 i saw where both white.

                          I normally see one every day/2days here.
                          But i normally see 1 tiguan a day as well and they have been out for 2 years so not really a fair display of purchase - street viewing ratio.

                            I see one every few days, which isn't what I expected and not as common as I recall the MkV was after the same period of sales. I did see a red one today, though the rear bumper was heavily damaged.

                                Just got a call from my dealer telling me the car is off the boat and is now waiting for clearance from customs.

                                The 2 week wait is killing me ><
