i rememebr back in 2000, i bought a demo honda s2000 with about 170km on the clock. long story short, i totaled it 3 months later and got a brand new s2000, and the new one just felt so much better. the demo s2000 must have been ragged out as the gearbox feel was so much crunchier than the new one, which i kept for about 7 years

time has come and am looking for 2 new cars.

1. Me: Golf R, White, roof, black 19"s (leather possibly, nav possibly if I have to Or i will fit myself). Would love a RVC but I am told impossible. I qualify for corp disc (replacing 2010 GTI)
2. Wife: Passat TDI wagon: Iceland grey, Park Assist 2, Roof, again RVC would be preferrable (again will fit Nav myself or will take it fitted if reasonable package) - replacing 2009 Outback diesel.

so, what should I expect and is tehre an updated spreadsheet? I'm in Vic.

I've not seen any silver ones getting around brisbane yet, so figured it's something different...

Picked up one month ago MY12 Golf GTI Candy White Manual with 18" Black Motorsport wheels for $42,000. Shopped around everywhere in Melbourne and thats the best price I could find. I also needed the car quick. It was delivered in a week and a half due to them getting it in. Berwick Volkswagen. Motorsport wheels where $900 each Rim only. Wife loved them so had to get them.

What you have said is quite true, but some times it is best not to say to much in print as it just may turn around and bite you when you least expect it. No names no pack drill but some insurance coy's will void your insurance if you have a DP im sure you will get my drift?

I understand, but the fact that u mentioned everything else under the sun, and I'm sure ur insurance policy doesn't list "gray ghost" as the main driver

It's a very good price. It's below the RRP for the car only, WITHOUT any dealer delivery, onroads or taxes etc.
It's obviously old stock, but was it a demo or anything? How many km's on it?

Vehicle: Is new and just of the ship 1st November was ordered to my specks and is a MY12 model and had 17km showing on the odometer.

Really good price man. Did you get it in Sydney?

Perhaps I'm the worst negotiator in the world but I've spoken to several dealerships and made serious, but lowish, offers and I don't get so much as a call back. Offered 40k during the free-onroads for a 5 dr DSG (base spec) and never heard from them again. RRP during that sale was $42,990, I would have settled reluctantly for 41-41.5k but didn't get one call back.

I've made offers outside of the drive-away specials as well and had a similar experience.
