  • There's no reason as to why the MDI connection shouldnt be charging the phone, I have one and it works fine. Perhaps a dud?

Only option was Floor Mats & MDI + Ipod Cable (which not fully happy with as doesn't charge Iphone 3GS)
    Paid $34950.

Ordered back end of December 09 so could get the bonus tax deduction but insisted on 2010 build. End up with Feb 10 Build

    Very Happy with Car

Apple iPods were able to charge off 12v (FireWire voltage) or 5v (USB voltage); for the iPhone 3GS (and possibly the 3G), Apple dropped the 12v support, preventing iPhones from being charged from devices that only provide a 12v current. Just a small change from Apple that made a ton of portable chargers useless with their later kit, forcing users to upgrade (where possible), or just suck it (where not). Apple FAIL.

I have a 3GS and it happily charges off a belkin USB car charger.

        • Ain't that what AdamD said?!

Anyway - this is the dealer negotiations thread. Please keep it on topic. There are already plenty of places on these forums to have a go at Apple where it's near enough on topic

          • Is someone going to update the spreadsheet with new purchases as I'd imagine there is quite a few that could be added.

Will be interesting to see how, when and if the state of the AUD affects the prices people are able to get...

My price is down to $32,690 for an Apr 2010 118tsi DSG Reflex Silver with mats

              • thats a good price I'd say, dont have the energy to do the sums, but going on memory $41K is a pretty good deal for the options listed

Well, at the drive away of $41k, that would give you a discount just below or above 15% (depending on whether you're using black text on white or euro number plates). That would be an excellent price!

                    • Last weekend I secured a deposit on a Black Manual 103TDI with Sports Pack, MDI and floor mats for $31.5k but as I bought it interstate, I will still need to register and pay stampduty (1.7k), but thats still a good saving compared to what I could get down here. I am thrilled and it should be here within a month as I picked one currently in transit.

I plan on putting in a RCD510 and possibly getting a set of 17" vision alloys down the track, but ill just wait for my precious to arrive before planning on sexing it up (more than it already is of course).

You could option the 18" Visions

I would have loved to, but my theory is that I would still be paying for the 17" Seattle alloys with the Sports Pack and then be paying for the 18" Visions on top. So why not be in a position to be able to sell the 17" Seattles and the rubber and put that towards the 18" visions or other wheels I like. Better way of doing it?

But I acknowledge the convenience of having it all done on delivery.
