Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

      Woohoo, just found out my GTI is on the TOSCANA due to dock in sydney on 29/6. slowly getting closer

          yep saw that just before, it looks like Melbourne has been brought up the list of ports and 2-3 have been removed all together :S theres 12 stops now, originally there was 15 i think..

              My GTI was also in the Topaz Ace which docked at Freo in the 16th. Cant wait any more. I drove past Freo docks yesterday and saw a few Carbon Steel GTI's parked in the docks. There was one with 3 doors and a few with 5 doors. One of them is mine!!

                Mate I finally had a chance to check my ETA, mine also on the Toscana arriving at Port Kembla on the 29th.

                We should drive down there : )

                I'm assuming it will be ready for pick-up around 3rd week of July?

                  Who knows.. Mine arrived on the 8th of May at Port Kembla and still no word as to when I take delivery .. PIA if you ask me

                    Mine arrived in Brisbane on the 10th (Toreador). Expected at dealer in next day or so with delivery date (to me) 4 working days after that.

                        Well I'll be.... just took the call and will be taking delivery next Thursday morning.. exactly 9 months to the day of placing the order.. go figure

                            wohoooo!!! I also just got a call... my Golf will be ready next week!! It was on the Toreador ship. I'm finally taking delivery next Friday. Almost 5 months after placing the order. Yay
                            Ordered - Late Dec 2010 - Golf MKVI 118TSI - Manual - Amaryllis Red - Bluetooth - Sensors - Ski racks
                            ETA - May 2011 (I think it's on the Toreador as approx delivery to Melb is 10/5... so hopefully by end May I'll finally have it!)

                                Does anyone know what 'Liner Release' means? It is now appearing on the tracking site for Morning Carol.
                                2011.5 CW GTI w/ BT, MDI, Sunroof, Nav, Xenon. Simple but mine and I love it!
