mines on TOPEKA... it was weird.. went from Germany to UK to Baltimore in the US (the wire hehe) down south of US, last week passing past Cuba and stated heading back to Netherlands ?? now no tracking.. hoping the next destination is Aus which is due next week 27/28 April
My Porsche traveled on the TOPEKA same route. It will go via the Panama Canal, head to New Zealand, Brisbane then Sydney.
My GTi will be off the boat on 20th May in Melbourne to another dealership in the same group. My dealer is in Sydney therefore the car will need to be shipped up here.
I believe the car will be complied down in Melb correct?
After compliance, does the car get shipped directly to my dealer in Sydney or does it go to the Melb one and then shipped from there?
Has anyone else had experiences like this and if so, how long does it add to the pick up time once the car has landed?
I've heard the longest it takes for them to build it is about a week? (Correct me if I'm wrong!) But it should be fairly quick! It's nothing like the waiting period!

Except you can't...
Forum members are not dealers, and do not have a login or a booking number...
Surely the booking number would be obtainable from your friendly dealer? I am quite certain my dealer will happily give it to me as it will mean I am pestering someone other than him about current status!
Let me know if they can... I don't believe anyone has ever had that option.
From the information I've seen, the booking number is when you're an individual who has imported a car from overseas. The car dealers have their own login to look at the site, and thus far, everyone I've seen on VWwc has had to call their dealers to check the status through this portion.
Even then, it's not like the shipping tracking site. There is very limited information that they can tell you most of the time...
Now stevedores, you don't need a long weekend....get to it!

My 3dr CW GTI is also on the Manon. I watched the Manon coming up the Yarra but unfortunately I will have to watch it sail out of Melbourne again to Port Kembla where it will be unloaded (was a dealer swap).
I was given the booking number for my first Mk6 GT last yearI, but it will not work on the Patrick site without using the dealer login - which I did not have. My current Mk6 GTI is sitting in Patrick's yard in Melbourne for a week now waiting to be shipped to Adelaide (last time it moved within a couple of days).
Isn't there a driver who wants to spend Easter in Adelaide - come on Patrick's - I want my GTI.
