How to track the car you have ordered?

Your list seems to leave out the Australian specific steps between 23 to 26/27. Thinks like quarantine, compliance, adding Australian specific requirements like the child restraints, etc etc.

Yes I have thought about that as well, but that is the email I got from my dealership... add 3 weeks to when the car actually lands in Australia

Got my VIN today and checked it on the WW site. It's on the Toba (vessel) and due to dock in Melbourne on the 06/05 - then trucked up to Sydney. Hoping i should have it by end of May..........getting closer now!!!!

I can finally check the tracking site!!! Ahhhh! I am so excited to see my car's whereabouts now!
After just over a week of waiting the dealer emailed me my car's VIN number today and I am so glad to see ETA, etc.
My car's ETA is 01-05-2010 - I can almost touch my car virtually at least.

Hmm... just o.n.e m.o.r.e. m.o.n.t.h....

My Vessel was not in that list. This it was called the Aniara or something. Dont have the details infront of me atm.

I believe the car has just been built and not yet on a ship. I went to the WW website and entered the VIN in the cargo ID (and then all the other fields) and it just says “no records found”

So, correct me if I am wrong, but does this just mean that it is not yet on a ship or have I done something wrong?

How long does it normally take to show up on WW once the car is built? Are there any other websites that I can check now that I have the VIN?

Oh and the dealer said it is expected to arrive in Aus on 28 May.

Don't enter in the other fields. Just put the vin number in the Cargo ID section and click on "Trace". See if that works.

Thanks, I tried entering the VIN on its own in the Cargo ID field and then when that did not work I tried each of the other fields separately with no luck.

Try entering your car's VIN number in the Cargo ID box then click the page or note icon next to it. A dialogue box will appear. Type your VIN number again in the dialogue box and click the OK button.
The dialogue box closes and back to the WW site where you typed in the VIN number - the site now shows "multiple" in the Cargo ID box. Click the Trace or Track button.

This is what I did using a Mac on FF browser.

You won't be able to track it but it generally takes 2 weeks of customs/compliancing and a week for delivery to dealer and prep work.
So 3 weeks after landing should be delivery week.


That is what i have been advised anyway.
