I was also on the Don Quijote which, according to marrinetraffic.com has left Brisbane and now heading North.

Hopefully my R is now on "dry" land in Brissie.

Hopefully Pickles and VW Springwood will sort it out quickly, but by the sounds of it, there my be a backlog.

I can confirm that that is not true.... My friend just got his call ... He was on aida which arrived at port kembla on xmas day and it is due to arrive at the dealer on monday and can be picked up wednesday.... Patricks been working on it all this time i.e. Havent been closed

My R was on the Don Quijote and was unloaded at Port Kembla on 2nd Jan. I received an email from my dealer on Tuesday saying it would be 2 weeks for the Bond process so the 19th sound about right.

DDTW - Not long now buddy. Let me know what you think about the recaros. When I spec'd my car I hadn't seen them in the flesh, just what was on the Recaro Website. But they looked good from that and I thought it would help provide a little originality since there will be alot of R's on the streets in the next 12 months and I was going to spec leather anyway.

I'm interested if the rears are different from the optional leathers.

From the pics the rears seem to be different - they have the suede insert rather than full leather.

I haven't seem Recaro's in the flesh either - sort of ended up with them by accident!

The Recaros give a good snug & are very comfortable for me (I'm a short a$$ 5'9" 67kg male). I reckon they really give the car an X-Factor. Dislikes about them are getting in/out & it's unability to slide forward & backwards when tilting the seats.

Yes Beena is right - the back seats have microfibre (faux alcantara/suede or whatever you wanna call it) inserts in the middle and leather at the sides. Gotta be careful not to stain them!! I do maccas drive throughs pretty often =)

My R was also on the Tristan - my R32 was sold and went to its new home last week and they say this time of year its 3 weeks from docking till delivery - time will tell I guess.....
