Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.     Yeh strange cause didn't appear too much happening at the port. GL was anchored at sea waiting for the berth to be vacated. So your ship was making good time but basically lost a day due to hold up at the port. From last look see she should leave tonight I think and next port is Melbourne.

    Maybe the wharfies were too busy stripping Sat Navs out of the Vdubs from the ship before yours. Please tell me there are no wharfies on this forum!! hehe.

              On a hire car now, waiting for the golf. The golf R is going to feel extra special after driving the toyota corrola for the next 10 days.

                hey guys, just a quick question regarding delivery of my R. I managed to buy one that was already ordered by a dealer in aus, and my local dealer managed to secure it for me, the original dealer is I assume in Sydney as my port of discharge for the vehicle is port Kembla, I am located in QLD, what delays if any could be expected after compliance? is it simply a matter of trucking the vehicle to my dealer after compliance?

                  Likely quicker than direct to Sydney !

                    Anyone know where the Glorious Leader has got to? Been away for the pass week and now trying to locate it has it still off the eastern Sth Afrikan coast.
                    It was to drop off my car in Melbourne on the 13th but now I think that it is missing in action, sunk, taken by pirates or a UFO captured it.

                      Last I looked Glorious Leader was due in Melbourne tomorrow, Monday 18/07/11 at 6:30pm, and will be docking at Appleton Dock D. Your ship hasn't been the easiest to track. GL's captain and crew are having too many cones I think, hehe.

                        Yo, flipperdog.......GL is due in this afternoon at 4pm in Melbourne and then 4am Thursday into Port Kembla. Doesn't seem real after 6 months wait but that's what it looks like......starting to get close now.

                          Spot on Langers, I didn't subtract 2.5 hrs from the heads as I should have. It's 3 pm and she is close to entering Port Philip Bay now. If you get a chance you will be able to see her on some of the cams once she is up the Yarra River. You may see her pass through the Heads but I'm not sure how often those cams refresh. Nearly in Sydney !!!!!!!!!!

                            Well now I know what I'll be watching on the web tonight, just to make sure those pirates had not taken my car....wonder if the Sat Nav is still there
