How did yours miss the boat?

Mines cleared customs and should be at the dealers for pre delivery next week.

Its that dodgy slushbox and detroits that slowed yours down I reckon Mine'll ride better, handle better, have a more involved driving experience, AND it got here faster

If the dealer tells you a boat (Toronto) is arriving in Melbourne with your car on it, let’s say 31 May 10 and you know it has arrived on 21 May and departed 22 May. Is it possible for that boat to head up to Sydney for example then turn around and do another drop off in Melbourne on its original specified date ?

Typically, no. Your dealer should be able to give you your VIN number and from there you can track the voyage and stops your ship makes.

It’s interesting you say this, as when I rang the dealer they were adamant the boat arrived on 31 May and the car would be ready for collection after 16 Jun. When I told them the boat had already arrived and left on the 22nd, there was a pause and some back tracking. But anyhow, still no word from the dealer, but I’m now used to that.

Do you have your VIN? Your dealer can provide it for you. Once you have this, you can track your car as per the 1st page of this thread.

I wasn’t interested in getting the VIN and tracking the car that way, as I was watching the status of another member of this forum who had a car on the same boat. He now has that car, although he claims he got a priority tag placed on the car with the dealership.

I have an r on order quoted build date 38 although dealer says it is more likely wk 32-34
wonder what time line is from build date to delivery in melbourne
my concern is that as I am eligible for the rudd rebate for companies providing delivery is pre dec 31 this year

I've been trying to track the TIJUCA which is heading to Auckland -> Melbourne -> Port Kembla. It is ETA to Auckland is 12/6/2010. I notice on the Marine Traffic site that Auckland and Port Kembla is not listed on the Ports list. Does that mean you cannot track it heading in and out of these 2 ports? Is the anyone else on this shipment?

Yep. It has appeared on the tracker again heading towards Auckland. Disappeared for weeks after it left Georgia. Not too long now.
