I ordered my GTI at the end of October but insisted that it be a MY2010. I am led to believe that it was built in the first week of January. ETA 25 Feb. ETD 12 March.

I think you mean a 2010 build. The MY2010 as such has been here since late-ish 2009.

Doubt that. I ordered mine on 10/11/09 and it was built on 5/01/2010.

I ordered my GTI at the end of October but insisted that it be a MY2010. I am led to believe that it was built in the first week of January. ETA 25 Feb. ETD 12 March.

Lucky! I ordered at the end of October (I also insisted on a 2010 build), and my car's still not built yet (according to my dealer it's "frozen", which apparently means build is imminent). ETA 8-10 weeks, ETD a week or two thereafter.

I just spoke to the dealer and he says its about 3 weeks away from arriving in the country! lol Might be ona boat with yours.. Im getting a VIN tomorrow and hopefully find out build date!

So if its 3 weeks away, i guess i add 2 weeks for customs and a few days to getthe tinting and bluetooth??

I ordered towards the end of nov. I didnt specify any particular build date. I just assumed id get an 09 build. I just wanted it as soon as they could get it to me as i sold my car last nov! :|

Yes. Everything will be sorted when you get your VIN. It might surprise you because if your car is on the same boat, it will arrive by next Thursday.
