I got it done the same time as another bloke I work with got his car done. He just quoted me that price without me having to haggle with him. If you play the uncertainty card he may be more willing to discount on the price for you.

Though if it is a Golf R that you have it may be a custom Ventureshield job as he may not have the stencils in his program which can automatically cut out the shapes for a given car.

No harm in trying to negotiate either way.

Yeah i'll see how i go, he's mentioned the G Techniq to me a couple of times now but both times i haven't really shown much interest.

As for the ventureshield he has already organised the stencil for the R for me so it's all ready to go.

One question though for you please, is the ventureshield really near impossible to see? can you tell looking at the quarter panels and say your drivers door that there is a slight difference in the look and that there is a film on there?

It's textured so that it looks the same as the finish off a regular clear coat. So really the only way you can tell that it is there, is if you can see the 0.3mm edge of the film. If you have it covering the entire panel rather than stopping half way up, then it's basically invisible.

Btw, if you are getting the front bumper done via a downloaded template, ensure that you let the guys know if you intend to have the numberplate holder removed so you can put on the Lakin Plate Bracket. It'd be best to have the PPF applied with no front numberplate holder present, and then put the Lakin Plate Bracket on afterwards.

Now i feel like a goose

Just got pointed out to me that the numberplates don't match my car!
My mates were taking pictures while they got the car from the carpark and brought it into the showroom, what are the chances of another 3dr Rising Blue at the same dealership?
