You guys just need to look around the forums more: Two days in a Golf GTI has Swallowtail's photos of a grey GTI. Four days in heaven has MurphyTheElf's Candy White 5 door with 18" detroits. Page 4 has Hail's Red 3 Door with 18" Detroits.
There are others around, but I'm not going to do all your research for you
Looked through the thread but didn't see any pics of the GTI with the 18"x8" Vision rims option (which i like the look of).
Anyone got a link for me?
Dealer accessory wheels are pretty rare. Unless someone has bought one and had these wheels fitted and uploaded photos themselves, I dont think you'll find any pictures.
There is this link of a Red MKV GTI with them though.

Thanks mate, but they are not quite the same.
The Vision ones i'm talking about are in the download brochure for the GTI
Aaah... they've done the 'Shadow treatement' like they have done with the Denver to Detroit upgrade. So they are the same, just one has black paint on them
People don't typically order dealer accessory rims because they are expensive. They can typically cost ~$3800, compared with the 'factory upgrade' from the 17 to 18" which only costs $1200.
For ~$3800 you can get practically any great quality 3rd party wheel you'd want. If you don't mind going for replicas then you could get 2 or 3 sets for that price! hehe
Wimmer's take on the new VW Golf GTI is almost all about performance and very little about appearance. The stock GTI rolls out of the factory with 210 horsepower and 280Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque, but after Wimmer RS gets its hands on the 2.0-liter turbo unit, those numbers are increased to a hefty 386 hp and 455 Nm (332 lb-ft) allowing the hot hatch to achieve a top speed of 267 km/h or 166mph.
This extra power comes thanks to an optimized turbo, the use of a sports CAT, a modified intake system and fuel pump as well as a reprogrammed ECU just to mention a few of the upgrades.
Wimmer RS also installs a sports clutch and a height-adjustable HR sports coilover suspension system while the package can be completed with a choice of 18-, 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels wrapped in high-performance tires.
