Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

Had my shiny red 6 week old GTI towed to the panel beaters because some stupid woman in a stupid, anti-social-environment-destroying-child-killing-humungous-4-wheel-drive decided to ignore the horn blasting behind her and reverse over the top of it. It's fixable. At least the airbags didn't deploy. Oh, the wife's alright too.

Waterless wash, clay bar and polish
Since picking up our new Golf I´ve had two issues, firstly the units I live in don´t have anywhere to wash a car, and secondly when I have washed and polished it the finish is always rough to touch.
So today I took action, which led to two first for me and my car. After visiting carcareproducts in Rozelle I firstl washed the car without water, and then clayed the car before re-applying paint protection.
Firstly, despite my doubts the waterless wash worked great, not as cheap as regular car wash, but very convenient and quick。 secondly, after the clay bar session the paintwork feels better than when I bought it. And from start to finish it only took two hours

My GTI had it's first mod done last week - window tinting
yesterday it had the stage 1 Revo
I plan on getting coilovers (still deciding on what kind to get)
then wheels....i'm really keen on some work wheels...Maybe the XD9 (I think that's what they are called.)
Revo is so awesome....I got it done at peak performance @ North Parramatta.
