That is correct Mr. Fabulous!Originally posted by Fab_R View PostBut that's what dealers do...that is the wholesale/trade in value.
They will sell it for $22-24,000...This is where they make their coin, and fair enough i suppose.

Had my little buddy serviced last week at Wodonga Prestige VW - his 135K doctors appointment. After the heart attack invoice for the previous service, this was a breeze at just $366
Although not wanting to pay VW rates for changing the rear brake pads and discs, I dropped the Brembo set I bought from ebay UK into Jaxx to install for $77. I stuffed up the pad part numbers though, and discovered that the ones I bought were for GTI's 2006 onwards.
Needed 2 rear tyres, so bought some PZero Neros through eBay at $190 each. The Jaxx man was pi##ed off that I didn't get him to quote, so I did. $457 each he said for the same tyres!! He told me he pays $417 for them, but he would do the same as me - but at least he gets my $60 to fit them.
Now just waiting for my LED "Golf R" tail lights, and my 'angel eyes' headlights to arrive

Fitted my new tail lights last night, but as they are for LHD, I need to extend and swap the cables for rear fog and reverse lights.

Will the Provent fit up against the firewall behind the battery? A few people have mounted catch cans there on GTI's and R's. I know the Proventil is a bigger unit but it's worth a try?? If not, then have you tried the vacant space behind the passenger side lower bumper area?

How do you like your DNA remap sawden? I just purchased one this week (currently waiting on the revised files to come from DNA in the UK).

Only broke 3 pins on those stupid clips plastic riveted on the back of the radio facia.
But I have 1 screw left over !!!
Found my Fuse removal tool inside the side panel on the Passenger side of the dash... I was wondering where it is.
A Nice supprise was finding out my RCD510 has the 26pin Video socket so it is RVC capable ... Yay - new mod!
