bent a rim on a massssiivveeee pothole, and am now rolling with a 15" on one corner, sad face. Getting a quote for it to be repaired, otherwise might update.

Not sure how accurate this is but someone has told me that the council will pay repair bills for damaged rims due to potholes.
Had to detail my wife's car for sale (anyone after a 2008 CX-7?) so I decided to detail my GTI too. How good is it to detail a car that can be done in a couple of hours and you don't need a step-ladder to do the roof?!
Hahah. Yeah matte blacks definitely the bomb diggitty. Was thinking of a colour. ( yellow, baby blue , like green etc) but I don't want that much attention. However I think I'm gonna throw some coils in if I can find a cheap daily to use for work
The below all started because I'd finally got around to a wash-claybar-polish-wax job a week prior. It's been stuck in the garage ever since with the poor weather and had a good going over. So much I've wanted to do that I've always put off.
Earlier in the week, I dropped the rear coils to their lowest setting, which has now made me keep to adjust it for more neg camber. I'll try that later this week.
Since Friday I've…
1. Rerouted my Bit One controller to fit up in the useless sunglasses holder. Will dremel the door and make it sit flush with the door so it's always visible.
2. Pulled the seats and entire centre console out to steam clean the carpets and find the missing screws I'd dropped down the dash when I first started messing with Nav units. Also needed better access to all those areas while doing point 4. Also got to clean out the dog hair. Those little hair balls won't be getting a ride in this car again – ever. Pugs shed like a motherfker. Then had to steam clean the entire house to justify renting the steam cleaner to myself.
3. Did the wiring for the Voice Control on the RNS-510 (the main reason I started the interior madness)
4. Massive cable tidy and tighten behind the nav (things were getting messy back there and one quad lock kept on cutting audio in & out – all fixed). Cloth taped key areas & cable tied the lot.
5. Noticed my Bluetooth bracket was developing some surface rust (split drink at some point maybe?) so i sanded it down and hit it with some matte black kill rust. Then did the same to the BT housing while it was at it. Can't refit it yet, but it already looks much better and won't be as noticeable down there. Anyone know where I can get one of those brackets for the passenger side floor? Would like to modify one to fit the bit one and then put the carpet cover over it like the BT unit. My part number was scratched out for some reason. ?
7. Drill polished my exhaust tips and all the aluminium parts from the engine bay.
8. Repaired the wiring on my Defilink gauges so they work again. 1 of the 4 wires had broken due to excessive tension.
Finally finished cutting up my Fog Grilles for LED DRL
Opened the Sikaflex 227 only to find I bought the wrong colour! White instead of Black ! Doh!
Serves me right for going to Bunnings in North Paramatta! out of 24 tubes It was the only 227 that was NOT EXPIRED!!!
Not to worry... it is paintable Being White I can see where it is going - friggin every where!!! LOL
